Feel the love — Not sure what to do with yourselves on Friday and depressed by the way the world is going in general. Why not join Good For Nothing — We want to create a weekly habit where we connect thinkers, do-ers, makers and creators with epic projects of social and ecological goodness. We create a space to hear from projects, what they’re trying to bring into the world, why and where they need help. Friday Future Love x Good for Nothing Zoom Gatherings | FridayFuture.Love

Doughnut Economics — not as commonly misconstrued about the exploration of the irrational behaviours to procure the largest amounts of that sweet decadent fried carbo goodness at the expense of your fellow person. Actually about an economic mindset that’s fit for the 21st century context and challenges. Drawing on insights from diverse schools of economic thought — including ecological, feminist, institutional, behavioural and complexity economics — [Doughnut Economics] sets out seven ways to think like a 21st century economist in order to bring the world’s economies into the safe and just space for humanity. The starting point of Doughnut Economics is to change the goal from endless GDP growth to thriving in the Doughnut. The Doughnut team have set up the Doughnut Economics Action Lab to turn Doughnut Economics from a radical idea into transformative action. Find out more about what it means to put them into practice in the DEAL Community.

Finally — wondering how to remain at the forefront of the latest thinking. LSE’s Cutting Edge Issues in Development Thinking & Practice, 2020/21 is a visiting lecture series, which is hosted by the International Development Department, provides students and guests with invaluable insights into the practical world of international development.
